CIGNA Acquires Kronos

In its latest move to expand into the on-site business and complement its health coverage offerings, CIGNA announced that it is acquiring Kronos Optimal Health Company.  CIGNA has been using Kronos for sometime but this formalizes and cements the relationship.  Per president, Kurt Weimer, “Working with one health service company to give employees a range of services helps provide the consistency, referral coordination and holistic clinical approach that many employers are seeking . . . “  Just another expansion into the arena by a large health insurer.
