TakeCare Replaces Vendor in Tennessee

The Rutherford County (Tennessee) Commission met last night (May 12 2011) to approve a contract with Take Care to manage a $1.8 million contract for county employees. Apparently three other companies had presented proposals, and historically the county has worked with CareHere to manage other clinics. Melissa Stinson, the county insurance director, commented that “CareHere did not submit a timely bid, so they were not considered.” Just another instance of employers changing or not renewing contracts with existing vendors (see our May 2011 Newsletter).

The article mentioned several references to better management of appointments, services, and reporting – all expected to be a benefit of the contract with Take Care.
