Until December of 2010, Concentra was a privately held company.  It is now owned by HUMANA but, for now, it is operating in the same location and with the traditional management team.  It has numerous sites (300+) in a variety of configurations - urgent care centers, primary care workplace units, and occupational health programming.  Many are at workplace locations.  Some sites are community-based  and offer services to multiple employers with public access to care as well.  Its staff will do training, provide preventive services and health promotion, and follow-up in various models.  It provides service to firms using various pricing models and suits each program to the size and needs of the employer.  It has a national presence and over 30 years of experience in the provision of on-site services.  With experience in occupational medicine, employer workplace solutions and the many community-based centers that it has developed, there are many distinguishing factors for this firm.  It responds to RFPs and, depending on the location, may be able to fashion collaborative sites or sites that are supported by urgent care installations in the same region.
