They have moved from a dominant regional force to a national competitor through acquisitions and a recent re-focus of their corporate strategy. QuadMed is one of the more experienced providers in the country. They can document progress on health savings, consumer satisfaction, network design, and quality scores over a time period measured by decades, rather than just a year or so. QuadMed is on its second full-fledged EMR while many physician groups and hospitals are still struggling with their first. It also has incorporated telemedicine and has developed a program for small employers which allows them to provide services in more remote and smaller locations while still achieving significant results.
