This is the giant of the on-site provider industry.  Take Care Health was a major retail provider before the acquisition of the 2 market leaders (CHD Meridian and Whole Health).  Walgreens has it all – community outlets, pharmacy and PBMs, brand awareness, industry intelligence (through acquisition), critical mass, capital, etc.  It is probably asked to respond to any, and every, RFP.  Its opportunity will be to craft these pieces into something that is truly unique that employers will recognize as a different and far superior product.

Update, October, 2010.  As of this date, Walgreens, through its Take Care Health Systems subsidiary, manages approximately 400 worksite health centers.  These are a part of its Complete Care and Wellbeing health service network.  It also has more than 350 Take Care in-store clinics providing services to the public at-large.
