AAAHC Accreditation for On-Site Vendors

Accreditation by the Joint Commission has long been the required standard for hospitals, and over the years accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care has become the standard for larger outpatient sites and organizations.

CHS, one of the larger vendors in managing on-site clinics for employers, announced that it has achieved accreditation for two employer sites recently.  In our experience, AAAHC accreditation certainly does require a huge commitment of resources to achieve.  Others in the on-site industry have done so in the past, and we applaud those who continue to strive for this “seal of approval.”  It certainly indicates a commitment to quality that is important in any outpatient facility.
