HERO was created in 1996 and per the Web site, its Core Purpose is to “Create and disseminate EHM research, policy, leadership, and infrastructure, which advance the principles, science, and practice of employee health management. ”   This is a not-for-profit corporation which conducts and publishes research on employee health management, education,  strategy, etc.   They have created a “Think Tank” and welcome membership in the organization overall.   In conjunction with Mercer, they have created a database and methodology for creating a “Best Practices Scorecard.”
