KIA/CERNER/IMC
Soon, every car company will be served by on-site programming-KIA joins Toyota, NISSAN, and VW of America with the announcement of a CERNER/IMC project on their 1,300 employee site in West Point, Georgia. In reviewing the scope of services, the menu is more focused on occupational health, safety and prevention. The type of program that Toyota rolled out (which emulates full-bore primary care) is a challenge for most firms to plan and achieve. However, there is a chance that CERNER (which is a major player in integrated health programming and sponsors its own on-site programming at its headquarters in Kansas City) can move this program in an aggressive fashion. It will be interesting to revisit this combination of talents in a year or so.
