AHRQ Creates New Web Site for Patient Centered Medical Home
The federal government’s Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality recently launched a new Web site, the “Patient Centered Medical Home Resource Center”, www.pcmh.ahrq.gov
To quote the opening screen, “The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality recognizes that revitalizing the Nation’s primary care system is foundational to achieving high-quality, accessible, efficient health care for all Americans. The primary-care medical home, also referred to as the patient-centered medical home (PCMH), advanced primary care, and the healthcare home, is a promising model for transforming the organization and delivery of primary care.”
The patient-centered medical home is a fundamental component in any on-site clinic that is truly successful. This new Web site already offers many resources for those operating or contemplating the operation of an on-site clinic for their employees. You will want to put this on your “favorites” list, we think, and keep checking it periodically for more information and resources.
