Intel to Add On-Site Clinics
Intel announced that it will be opening two on-site clinic facilities for its employees. The first opened January 4, 2011 at its Jones Farm Campus in Hillsboro and the second will open at its Ronler Acres Campus. Intel has more than 5,700 employees at the Jones Farm location alone. The services will be comprehensive and will include full-service primary care, pharmacy, nurse practitioners, P.T., lab and health coaches. Bill MacKenzie, an Intel spokesman, said “By offering integrated services at this Health for Life Center, Intel is in the forefront of the evolution of health care. . . “
The clinics will be operated by Take Care Health Systems, a division of Walgreens (Take Care currently operates more than 350 centers across the United States for a variety of employers).
