Fortune Article on On-Site Clinics

On 8/2/2011 /Fortune magazine published an article on the current status of on-site clinics in the U.S.   They quoted leaders from Towers Watson, Cerner and Take Care Health Systems, all companies with a significant commitment to the on-site industry.   Included in stats in this article was data from the Towers Watson actual experience showing that 25% of large employers surveyed have on-site medical clinics and 12% more are planning to open one.  Peter Hotz (Walgreen’s VP) was quoted as saying  “Our pipeline [of on-site clinic management opportunities) is up 60%.”   Cerner staff apparently indicated a similar increase in the past year.  All-in-all, it looks like business in the industry is booming with no sign of things quieting down in the foreseeable future.
