New Clinic Contracts Awarded
In the last couple of weeks we have noted the opening of new clinics, or the awarding of clinic management contracts, to various vendors. We’ll do a quick review here.
CareHere was awarded two contracts, one to manage a clinic in Denton, TX for city employees; and one at the Nashville International Airport (for airport employees and travelers). The latter was reported to be the first of its kind ever in a U.S. airport. It will be interesting to see what portion of the business relates to those “just passing through” and how much this truly develops into a clinic for employees and dependents.
HealthStat opened a clinic which they are managing for the City of Salem (Virginia) to provide services to employees including school system workers. Retirees can use the facility as well bringing the number of eligible participants to about 1,800. The clinic is on a 2-year pilot contract and is staffed by a nurse practitioner.
