A New Twist on Health
CNBC reporters Mark Dixon and Susan Shoemaker, both partners at Plante Moran, authored a brief article on CNBC.com about a new offering by some companies related, indirectly, to health and wellness – financial planning.
May seem unusual, but when you stop and think about it, stress related to financial concerns can impact health. And, according to their article, it can also create situations in which employees aren’t as effective on the job because of it, or may work longer than they should (past the typical retirement age) because of financial concerns. So, because these companies have figured out that financial “wellness” can affect physical wellness – and productivity/job effectiveness, some are now offering this service.
