Small Employer Option

AMD Global Telemedicine and NuPhysicia Health of Texas recently announced the creation of a partnership offering onsite services  (“The Working Clinic”) for smaller, self-insured employers using dedicated “medics” and access to physicians immediately (promising the use of the same physician for chronic issues) onsite.  Their announcement states that there are no start-up costs, no build-out expense, just an annual contract – meaning little or no capital outlay.   The service includes wellness and coaching, occupational health, and urgent visits on-site.  There is no mention of ancillary services such as physical therapy, pharmacy, etc.   However, the no start-up expense is attractive and they also offer the use of their “OnDemand Visit” app for employees and dependents for use wherever they may be located, on or off-duty.
