Symbol Health Solutions’ goal is to “change the way employers cost-effectively sustain and retain a healthy workforce.”   It is a regional provider, currently working only in the state of Alabama with 14 clinics operating under their umbrella.  Founded in 2010, the company provides comprehensive management of the sites including all start-up capital, staffing, and on-going expenses associated with their services on a fee-for-service basis which they indicate is below insurance payment rates and at or below competitor costs.  Their model is risk-sharing.  “Clients are responsible only for securing the clinic space.  Symbol provides all other capital items and totally assumes the financial liability for the success of the clinic.”  They state they have “never lost a clinic customer.”
